There is no computer graphics course at this university. Today we were throwing around the idea of having me teach a computer graphics course. It is a pretty exciting idea, but also pretty scary. What are your thoughts on this idea? Some possible thoughts are:
- “Great idea! You love computer graphics and are very opinionated on the subject.”
- “I don’t know if that is such a good idea. You are pretty opinionated on the subject.”
- “I doubt your students are going to like linear algebra, differential geometry, measure theory, … and Clifford algebras? WTF is a Clifford algebra?”
- “Seriously, your students aren’t going to appreciate having to do their homework in Haskell.”
- “Aren’t your expectations too high? Your university isn’t exactly a world renowned computer science institution. I mean, they don’t even have a computer graphics course.”
- “Shouldn’t you be writing your thesis instead?”
