WTH was an enjoyable event. Not as good as I remember CCC being in 1999, but still good. I actually went to many lectures this time. The most notable information for me was the community wireless networks and Tor.
Roger made Tor look very easy to set-up, so I installed it on my laptop. But I was quite interested in Hidden Services which strikes me as very important. Tor Hidden Services allows one to host web site such that it is hard to track where the web site is hosted. You can think of all sorts of important uses for such a thing.
Rop has made some software to install on wireless router to term them into a node for an ad-hoc community wireless network. I want to start “Nijmegen Wireless”. If I get some time I’ll buy a wireless router and antenna and see what can be done.
