So, someone please explain how one’s house must be wired up to explain the following phenomenon.
In my basement there is an outlet. In one socket, a water softener is plugged in. Suppose we plug a dehumidifier into the other socket. When we turn on the dehumidifier the following three things happen.
- The dehumidifier does not turn on.
- The water softener turns off.
- The light in the bathroom up the stairs turns on!
